Note of the Edit
No, it hasn't been an easy year for Nicholle Kobi.
We've had to face many challenges, both personal and professional, but we've learned from our mistakes and want to do better in order to grow and improve personally.
Building an empire from scratch doesn't happen overnight, as the saying goes: Beyonce didn't become Beyonce overnight!
With hard work and determination we'll get to where we want to be.
Nicholle started from a simple drawing posted on social media to Nicholle Kobi Studio.
But what is this Studio you ask?
After being approached by Netflix, Amazon studio, Warner Bros, BET, and collaborating with some of them, Nicholle realized that there was a real lack of black-owned animation studios. Why does it have to be black people, you ask? Yes, because it's important that black stories are also represented in the animation world.
That's where I got the idea of setting up my studio in South Africa.
Why South Africa, why not Paris or New York, where you live and work?
I'll soon tell you why Johannesburg and not Paris, NYC...
PS: I've also written in French and illustrated an entire book on my own. I'm so proud of me! clap clap ...
I learn to Celebrate and congratulate myself even For little win!
With Love,
Ms Kobi xxx
